Our vision is to provide the best possible opportunities and experiences for each individual child to become independent, healthy, happy and confident learners in a safe environment
Our staff have high expectations and engage with children as co-players in a stimulating environment which promotes and values investigation, curiosity and creativity
We are delighted to offer 15 hours of funded places for eligible 2-year-olds in a safe, nurturing, and engaging early years environment where children can learn, play, and thrive.
Eligible children may access a 15-hour funded early education place in line with current government guidance.
Monday to Friday
12:30pm – 3:30pm daily
Term time only
Please note that we do not offer any variation to these session times and additional sessions are not currently available outside of the funded session times offered.
At Little Crofties, we provide a carefully planned daily routine that supports children’s development, independence, confidence, and wellbeing. Included in the daily routine is a snack time where a healthy snack of fruit and milk or water is provided in line with the statutory guidelines. We will also change your child’s nappies and we will support both yourselves and the children through the process of potty training.

All About Us
Croft Academy Early Years is made up of:
a 39 place nursery which is split into morning and afternoon sessions
(8.30am-11.30am and 12.30pm-3.30pm)
a 30 place reception class which is full time
(8.30am-3.15pm)
an 8 place 2 year old provision called Little Crofties which offers afternoon sessions
(12.30pm-3.30pm)
Our 2 year olds (Little Crofties) and rising 3s (afternoon nursery) mix during the afternoon sessions
Morning nursery have the space of two classrooms available to them during child initiated time so they are able to explore all of the learning areas of the classroom in greater depth
All activities that are available to them are for their age and stage following development matters
Reception have their own space within the Reception classroom
Again they have areas set up for them to explore, but these areas are smaller and they focus on their learning needs from development matters
