Our Vision

Our vision is to provide the best possible opportunities and experiences for each individual child to become independent, healthy, happy and confident learners in a safe environment.

Our staff have high expectations and engage with children as co-players in a stimulating environment which promotes and values investigation, curiosity and creativity.

All About Us

Croft Academy Early Years is made up of a 39 place nursery which is split into morning and afternoon sessions 8.30am-11.30am and 12.30pm-3.30pm and a 30 place reception class which is full time 8.30am-3.15pm. We also have our own 8 place 2 year old provision called Little Crofties which offers afternoon sessions from 12.30pm-3.30pm.

The classrooms of Nursery and Reception are within the same unit and are divided only by a sliding partition which is closed during our adult focus lesson times such as phonics, literacy and maths but  it is open at all other times which enables us to run as a unit and mix the children during child initiated time.  This way of teaching has a very positive effect on the children as they are able to explore all the areas of the classrooms, gain experience from one another, younger and older and also have lots of staff on hand from both classes to help and encourage them with their own learning and independence.
